Description[?]:
We believe in the rights and freedoms of our workers, and will not suggest or support changes to their rights or representation. However , for the good of the nation, and all citizens we would like to guarantee certain essential employees and services remain available at all times. This concerns the the right of all employees to strike. Roles, such as : Paramedics, Police, Fire, and their dispatches. Basic operation of the Courts, and Borders. Health, and Water departments. Hospital and elderly care. Prisoner basic care. The intent is to guarantee the basic operation of the nation and safety of our citizens. This should be a question of lives, human or otherwise and only ever a question of qualified temporary replacement. (ie doctors, police, nuclear technician) We do not intend, nor agree with limitations to the private sector. Special consideration must be applied to the private sector electricity grids and the food chain. This should be done without harm or loss to employees or the unions. Questions of convenience are never to be allowed. ie...maintain gas to heat our arctic homes, but not our vehicles. Immediate survival must be the deciding criteria. A striker's ability to cause disruption must be weighed, protected, and should not reduced where possible. Completed in a fair manner, through current, and upcoming collective bargaining, where applicable, without dividing a union or creation of a new class of workers. ie....Negotiate altered rights as a group, but never allow overpayment or reward to leave the collective group. Where collective bargaining is not applicable, the right to strike must be protected for all workers, ensuring a striker retain their employment following a strike action, by law. With such protections, a formal strike process must exist and be adhered to by all interests. We know the people of Solentia do not wish their civil rights to be limited. Emergencies never cease, babies must be born, travellers must return, trials must be held promptly, etc. We believe the people value these safeties in equal, or greater regard. |
