| The current law allows candidates of elections accept donations. However, this law is a threat to the independence of our politicians. More specifically, the law allows our election candidates to receive money from powerful buisnessmen as "donations" as an exchange for future serving of their own financial interests. As a result, there is a great danger of having politicians-puppets of buisnessmen in crucial positions. Those politicians won't work for the Kalopian people but for private interests, violating our Constitution. All candidates should receive public funds but not be allowed to accept donations. |
