Message | Mr Speaker, It was always a temporary measure, to deal with a Political Party of this Diet using the Unions to order a general strike against an elected majority Government because they lost a vote in this Diet. Now the political grip on the Trade Unions, of any Political Party, has been removed, just as we removed it when it was the other way round during the Coalition with the CPL and SDP. We are also tempted to call for an enquiry, as our law states no sympathy strikes, workers may only strike for their own pay and conditions, and also a ballot must be held where a majority of all members, not just those that vote, must support it. We have seen no evidence of these requirements being met! This could mean individuals in Unions and Parties have broken the law and committed offences. |
