From Ducal Delegation
ToDebating the Capitalism Now!
MessageWe admire the Republicans for their imaginative policy-thinking and would like to think this scheme could be made to work, but after very careful reflection and consideration, the Delegation has come to the view that the police should remain firmly under government control and government accountability. To introduce private security firms complicates the direct chain of command between the elected government and the individual police officer on the ground.

And what if these "private security firms" become overmighty and decide to defy the elected government? What if they become infiltrated by Marxists, Progressives, Socialists, etc. etc.?...
