Details

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4619

Description[?]:

Honoured colleagues,

The Communists took our religious identity and it is time to revert that heinous deed!

For centuries Vanuku has been a peaceful state split between two religions: the schools of Ahmadism and Hosianism. With this proposal the BSP wishes to enact the following:

The Kingdom of Vanuku to have two official state religions.
These being;
Patriarchal Hosianism (TPC)
Israism

These two religions are the largest of Vanuku and we should recognize them.

Prince Kezkai Banmek-Sntazed
Interim Leader of the BSP

MessageMembers of the Assembly,

After mulling over this proposal and thinking long and hard about the idea of the two state religions, we must vote no.

Whilst many within our ranks have religious-leanings we do not believe the current figures justify the TP church and Israism being singled out and granted such status.

However, it is our hope that policies we intend to introduce during this legislative term and beyond will encourage more people to turn to religion and see the virtues in faith, and therefore this policy proposal should be reviewed in the future.

Prefect of Vanuku

MessageHonoured colleagues,

The statement made by the Prefect is shameful, a true disgrace. Our proposal as stated has been the legislation for centuries, until the communists undid the religious balance.

Postponing these measures and "waiting" will only cause strife and unbalance.
