Message | As a developing economy, we need to establish a strong commercial sector, foster growth and allow businesses to invest more in this nation. An attractive commercial tax system will achieve this and help to promote Pontesi internationally as a leading country to re-locate business to. By voting for this bill, we can lower unemployment and give this country an economic boost. The reduction in sales tax has the aim of getting Pontesians to buy more to support our businesses. With lower unemployment and an increase in purchases, this bill will set down the foundations of a strong and attractive future economy for Pontesi. |

Message | We cannot vote in favour of these tax reductions, as income from corporations and luxury items should be taxed more thoroughly than the people in general. Plus we still hold out hope for a more regulated market. |
Date | 18:24:21, April 01, 2006 CET | From | Pnték Prsakij Prta (Phalangists) | To | Debating the Company Tax Realignment |
Message | We'd prefer them to be the other way round, a smaller tx reduction for Corporations, and an elimination of the Sales tax on Luxury products. |
Date | 00:40:40, April 02, 2006 CET | From | Pnték Znkak Prta 'Bastardry' | To | Debating the Company Tax Realignment |
Message | We feel that companies should give a little back to the state they profit from - after all, we need to fund the bodies that make sure they keep the right side of Pontesian law for the sake of the people. (Also, we called the sales tax reduction idea first in "Money.", and noticed the militarisation bill the Phalanx put on the table and sent to vote straight away was almost ripping off our "Guns." idea. As much as I'm glad the parties agree with the Bastards to some extent, it doesn't half feel like we're being ripped off, damn it! :( ) |
