Description[?]:
The Safer Hutori Act This bill seeks to build a safer country for Hutorians. This government has been weak on crime and as a result we are seeing more and more criminal activities taking place in our streets. This imposes strong deterrents to crime and gives our judicial system more options to deal with criminals. Article 1) 1.1 Under this act, those found guilty of a criminal charge and sentenced to time in prison will not have the right to vote in federal elections. 1.2 Voting rights are to be reinstated when the person is released from prison. Article 2) 2.1 The death penalty shall be legalized. 2.2 The death penalty shall only be used to punish those convicted of terrorism, treason, and crimes against humanity. Article 3) 3.1 Any foreign citizen who is convicted of a crime in Hutori may be extradited to their home nation. 3.2 Should the convicted's home nation practice inhumane punishments such as torture, the convicted may not be extradited. 3.2b This does not include nations who practice the death penalty. 3.3 If a dual citizen of Hutori and another nation is convicted of a crime in Hutori, the court may revoke their Hutorian citizenship and begin the extradition process. Article 4) 4.1 Police officers are to be equipped with military grade automatic assault weapons for use in extreme circumstances. 4.2 Automatic assault weapons are to be stored securely in the trunk of police cruisers. 4.3 Any time an automatic assault weapon is removed from the trunk of a police cruiser a full detailed report of the incident must be completed within 48 hours regardless of whether the weapon was fired or not. |

Message | Mr Speaker, I rise today to present Bill C-31: Safer Hutori Act. This bill is a piece of legislation our party has been working on for some time. We have consulted with police officers, attorneys, corrections officers, criminology experts, and many others to come up with this bill to build a safer Hutori. This government has been soft on crime for years and Hutorians are fed up. I hope all members of this house will come together and support this important legislation. Message | The Socialist Front is strongly opposed to all of this bill's propositions. The passing of this bill woud be an infringement on democracy, public safety (through higher risks of police brutality) and the right of any human born into this world to keep their life. -Louise Jefferies SF spokesperson of justice and minister of justice in the NPP-HG-SF government |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This is utterly ridiculous. This bill is nothing more than fear mongering. The governement hasn't been ''weak on crime'', we have been as much tough as we needed to be. This criminal crisis that the conservative are trying to invent simply doesn't exist. There is no more crime in our street today than there was 10 years ago, 20 years ago or 100 years ago. And even if we had a serious criminality problem in Hutori right now, what are the conservative proposing anyway? Militarizing our police force to a completly useless degree? Stripping hutorian citizen from the legitimate right to vote? Applying the death penality to a type of criminal that is so rare that it become praticaly irrelevant? How are all these things suppose to help in any way? -Amber Bokota Chairman of the National Progress Party and former Prime Minister |

Message | Mr Speaker, I know the voting has ended on this bill, and it has been defeated, but I'd like to take a moment to respond to the comments of the Chairman of the NPP. How does she think the victims of terror attacks and their families would feel hearing the NPP chairman call the attack "irrelevant"? While rare, these crimes do happen, and Hutori must have an effective deterrent to them, and they are certainly not "irrelevant". The Chairman should immediately issue an apology for her disgusting statement. Rt. Hon. Dylan Jourdain II Parliamentary Leader of the Conservative Party of Hutori Former Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Hutori |
