| One of the principal acts of the Progresiewe Party during it's time spent in opposition, now that a majority has been achieved, stability returned to the nation, we hereby introduce an act to firmly cement Saridan's future as a democratic, free nation—One undisturbed from racism, state-enforced separation of ethnic, religious, and racial groups. Upon passage of this legislation, the following articles shall become law if they have not done so before: ARTICLE I— It shall be illegal to bar someone from political activities, for reasons of race, gender, religion or ethnicity. The national government shall have authority to issue fines, or suspension of politicians, political groups, or other affiliated groups at both the local and national level, if such arises. ARTICLE II— It is illegal to segregate public amenities, such as bathrooms, restaurants, or any other public or commercial facility with regards to racial and ethnic groups. This extends to all government buildings, as well as places of employment. ARTICLE III— The rights of the many ethnic, racial, and religious groups within Saridan shall not be infringed upon at any level whatsoever. Protections shall also be extended to individuals who state a different gender identity, or sexuality. ARTICLE IV— It is forbidden for any government, regardless of political ideology, to engage in the practice of Apartheid at any level of government. |
