Bill: FS-05: Prohibition of Torture Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Voorwaartse Seridjan

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4642

Description[?]:

Torture is an inhumane and unreliable method of intelligence gathering. Human memory when put under stress is made even more unreliable. Those under torture will say anything that they think will cause the torture to stop — often more than not this information provided is incorrect. We see it as vital to human rights and the modernization of our country that we cease the use of torture in its entirety.

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections.
