Torture is an inhumane and unreliable method of intelligence gathering. Human memory when put under stress is made even more unreliable. Those under torture will say anything that they think will cause the torture to stop — often more than not this information provided is incorrect. We see it as vital to human rights and the modernization of our country that we cease the use of torture in its entirety. |
