Bill: FS-07: Presumed Consent Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Voorwaartse Seridjan
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 4644
Description[?]:
With the current opt-in system, we face chronic shortages in organs. With an opt-out system, consent would be presumed — with professional estimates indicating this would result in a substantial increase in organ donations. We believe an opt-out system is best as it balances a respect for bodily autonomy, but also helps ensure more lives are saved. In effort to avoid confusion, this policy concerns the organs of the dead. |

Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning organ donations.
Old value:: Organ donations are legal with personal consent.

Random fact: Real-life organisations should not be referenced in Particracy, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed). |
