To help fight against rising obesity rates — which costs the economy billions — this bill proposes the following:

1. A federal excise tax of 20% be placed on all sugar-sweetened beverages (this tax adds on to any existing taxes).
2. Free and universal school lunches for all those attending compulsory education.
3. A national standard for healthy eating, including a guide and advertising campaign to encourage proper dietary habits.
4. Prohibition of advertising of unhealthy foods marketed specifically for children — with fines for individuals and companies of a minimum of 7,000 SAD up to 70,000 SAD for each instance of violation.
5. Hiring at least one dietitian for every 10,000 students, who will provide publicly-funded dietary advice and other related medical services to students.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.
