This bill will legalize and regulate gambling activities, with the direct intended purpose to minimize the harm of such activities and reduce organized crime. Furthermore this bill proposes the following: 1. Advertising of gambling be heavily restricted to areas frequented mostly by adults — and away from educational, academic, or youth facilities. 2. Prohibition of gambling advertising directed specifically at low-income or at-risk individuals. 3. Prohibition of online and mobile gambling, including features in products that use gambling (this does not include fictional portrayals that do not involve any real money or microtransactions). 4. Gambling is only legal for those 21 years or older. 5. All gambling establishments and ads must clearly display accurate odds of winning disclaimers and avoid false promises. |
