In order to solve the present, intermittent funding crises that Likatonia is undergoing, the Likaton Future Party proposes that we lower the exemption by $2000 and the tax rate by 1% per year for ten years. This would result in a final tax of 30% and a final exemption of $20,000. |

Message | This will offer more revenue up. I will be perfectly honest on what this means: This will cut taxes on the rich while extending the reach of the government to tax the middle class. The working poor are still completely untaxed. |

Message | I cant support this, it makes the tax system less progressive. I still in favour of a tiered system. |

Message | The problem is, once you create a tiered system, how do you prevent it from evolving into a monster? |
Date | 10:03:15, June 14, 2005 CET | From | Liberal Party for Equality | To | Debating the Incremental Tax Reform |
Message | you still have to vote on any changes, so it would't be able to turn into a 'monster' without a majority. |
