Message-Excerpts of the last speech of P.M. Martin-

Mr. Speaker,

This act is necessary to end the economic sanctions on us... ...15% GDP loss in one month already... ...following an international boycott... ... ...65 reduction of exports to... ... ...12% fall in wages and 45% inflation rate due to sanctions... ... ...and to sum it up the economic situation is one of near collapse. We are faced with the abolition of slavery and "Logan's Run" laws or else we will the collapse of all industrial and service sectors in Lodamun. We may also have to impose austerity and take out several large loans from various institutions with potentially up to 43% interest. In short, even with the passing of this act the nation is quite possibly screwed.

As my last act as Prime Minister of Lodamun I announce my apology to the international community and peoples of Lodamun. God help us.
- The speech abruptly ends with the suicide by gunshot of P.M. Clark Martin in the Chamber of Peoples' Deputies and broadcasted on TV and radio across Lodamun-

Random fact: Alduria, Rildanor and Lourenne all have Canrilaise (French) cultures.

Random quote: "No one today can afford to be innocent, or indulge himself in ignorance of contemporary governments, politics and social orders. The national polities of the modern world maintain their existence by deliberately fostered craving and fear: monstrous protection rackets. The 'free world' has become economically dependent on a fantastic system of stimulation of greed which cannot be fulfilled, sexual desire which cannot be satiated and hatred which has no outlet except against oneself, the persons one is supposed to love, or the revolutionary aspirations of pitiful, poverty-stricken marginal societies like Cuba or Vietnam. The conditions of the Cold War have turned all modern societies - communist included - into vicious distorters of man's true potential." - Gary Snyder
