Bill: Democratiic Change Act I
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Progress
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4646
Description[?]:
In the last decade, Lodamun has been turned from a Shining beacon of Democracy to a den of nepotism and monarchism. At times changes have even been made in direct contradiction to the constituion. We Quote: "The Head of State […] is symbolic", yet the HoS has assumed many powers side from his symbolic function. All of this has to be urgently halted and turned back, to restore meritocratic principles of the Forefront of governing. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, we’d like to remind our new colleagues that constitutional amendments (in this case changes to the judicial system and Princely Council as mentioned here: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=608814) require 2/3rds of the legislature to vote in favor. That is also the reason why there’s a suggested four month debate period for each bill proposal. Next time we suggest that they first make sure there really is a 2/3rds support for such a big reform and then tie the proposal with any other constitutional amendments they’re attempting. Message | Mr. Speaker, Thanks for the reminder, but we choose not to follow any laws established by this sham of a Democracy, and you and your colleagues dont follow the mandatory four month debate period either, so why should we? Ackney Armstrong Leader of the Republican Resistance |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We, members of the EAPP, are quite insulted by the any allegations concerning the parliamentary etiquette as we have demonstrably followed it and encourage all other parties to follow suit. As for the baffling statements on the quality of democracy in the Republic they themselves founded and especially after winning the elections, we have no comments. They could, however, thank EAPP for liberal media reforms that got rid of hate speech laws that would’ve otherwise barred them from publishing similar virulent anti-constitutional extremism in newspapers.
