Message | Members of Parliament: In this message I will be outlining my thoughts as to each proposal and why I think these measures should be introduced into Baltusia's Armed Forces. Article 1: Currently as it stands, the military only appoints officers through battlefield commissions which only happens in times of war. In times of peace, we still need leaders in our military and in times of war the Ministry of Defense can still appoint through battlefield commission if they wanted to. This proposal just introduces an option to commission able men and women who may not have gotten their experience in the warzone. Article 2: Paramilitaries such as a militia or Private Military Companies should be allowed to supplement our current armed forces. Sometimes, our military will be spread out to thin and will need support from the private sector. In addition, the veterans of the armed forces may be looking for a job in the civilian world and a PMC or a militia group could end up being a good place for them to go if they are looking for a new direction. Paramilitaries should be allowed as long as they are monitored by the government. Article 3: If war does strike this world, we might need to institute a draft in order to get enough men and women to the front lines through an equal opportunity to avoid war in a lottery. Plus we could avoid the lottery all together if enough Bantustans are brave enough to step up and take the call to arms in times of war to defend this country. This concludes my argument for this bill. If anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me and please let me know of your ideas in this discussion. Based on responses I may change the proposals in the bill before I put it to a vote. Thank You. -Federalist Party |
