| Fellow Members of Parliament, I regret to inform you that as of last night, Former President Ortega Conde died at the age of 95, to terminal cancer. He was diagnosed back in March of 4660, and told that he would have 3-4 months to live. He ended up outliving that estimate by 2 years. Over his life, he has served as a Soldier, General, and President, in service of the Federal Union. With his passing, I call for a public funeral procession for a fine Gaduri Patriot. I call for: - The National Flag to be flown at half-mast for the next 7 days, nationwide. - That the Hosian Church he went to in life, and where he will be mourned in death, be visited by all Members of Parliament. - That his son permitted to be in the next Parliamentary meeting, as an honored guest. - That he be allowed to be buried with his men, as per his will, along with the Gaduri Star he was awarded. The President also hoped that if he was to be honored as a President of the Federal Union with kind words, that this be done in public, with the Member of Parliament candid in their assessment, as President Conde so often was in life. I commend this motion to the Parliament, and hope for unanimity in praise for a Patriot lost. Carlos Tam, Prime Minister of the Federal Union, NLP Chairman. |
