Message | Strike 3 and 5 for us to even consider this. As for your bursaries, we couldn't fund them with the tax cuts. As for the absence of ascertaining democratic majority in unions before they strike, a free market doesn't allow declarations of spontaneous mass slacking. Civil disobedience must be organised - there is a difference between it and destabilising civil disorder. |

Message | Let the people learn the hard way. Plus there's enough spare in the finance system to take the proposed tax cuts. |

Message | While the Libertarian party supports the tax cuts, we are also concerned about providing for a minimum income subsidy as it only acts as an incentive for people to not work as hard to earn as a living since the government will pick up the tab. So long as employers are free to hire replacement workers in the event of a strike, the market will ensure that people are paid appropriately for the work they perform. ((OOC: It should be noted that back around the game year 2202, I did a review of Pontesi's finances to determine exactly what was Pontesi's total treasury (since this forum does not keep a running total, and just merely identifies whether there is a surplus or deficit), and I calculated that the national treasury as of 2202 should hold around 1.188 Trillion PON. Enough to almost pay 5 years worth of expenses at the 239 Billion PON original funding level. Not that it matters or anything...)) |

Message | With the free market proposals above, people should be more inclined to work, given that they now have more rights; therefore, since we offer only basic sustenance on the dole, only people who actually can't get a job will be using it. |

Message | It remains a sad fact that people abuse such facilities. It is a naive and callous practice to assume that as soon as law is made that everyone adheres to it. |

Message | Have you costed this proposal in accordance of the budget after the passing of the lower income tax bill? |

Message | As far as I can tell, the Government will still be in profit. |
