Bill: Government Program Proposal
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 4690
Description[?]:
This is what we propose for the years to come. 1. Repealing or stopping the law making contraception illegal. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY the CPL is going to form a coalition without repealing this anti-democratic legislation. We have principles and if you want to form a far-right cabinet, go for it. 2. Enforce food safety standards upon businesses. 3. Enforce health and safety regulations 4. Allow local governments to decide on salary cap 5.Allow secondary strike actions 6.The right to appeal to have a judgement by another court without the minister of Justice involved 7.Death penalty will be illegal except for terrorism, treason,... 8.Extradition to nations with capital punishment or with cruel or inhumane treatment of suspects and convicts is not allowed. 9.The government fully subsidizes tuition. 10.The ministry of education will stop its blackmail with schools that practice teacher-led prayers. 11.The government subsidises artistic institutions and some artists on a case by case basis. 12.The national government maintains a system of museums nationwide. 13.Classified files are released after a set period of time provided doing so is not deemed to endanger national security. 14.There is a regulated inheritance law, private regulation of inheritance is allowed but also regulated. 15.The government gives high levels of aid to countries in need. 16.Public transport is fully subsidised for people with low-income, with the remainder "user-pays". 17.No state penalties are issued for blasphemy. 18.The government leaves this decision up to the schools themselves (on teacher-led prayers). 19. A 2 % tax on essential goods to fund the costs of the program. |
