| Message | Mr Speaker, It is unfortunate that our government partners are over again supporting a piece of legislation that is so very flawed. This legislation seeks to start a national child benefit program, and then also give it to parents of people considered adults by this very government. Hutori recognizes anyone 16 and older as an adult. Secondly there is no thought given to how this program would be administered, how much parents would receive or what the threshold to be considered "low income" is. I would suggest the members in the NPU and the Liberal Party look back at recent Royalist bills so that they can learn a thing or 2 about crafting strong legislation. Hon.
