Bill: Mandatory Hygiene Upkeep Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: The People of Lodamun

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4697

Description[?]:

The senior members of our party have recently been provoked in the olfactory sense by the unkempt cleanliness of the members of the Green Progressive Party. Some of the members of said party are publicly known to adopt purely fruitarian diets, which leads them to believe that they can go on smelling great for long durations without the need for a bath. The regal atmosphere of the Chamber of People's Deputies has been sullied by the unhygienic habits of some members of the Green Progressive Party. We the members of the People of Lodamun propose this act to mandate compulsive handwashing, deodorant applying, and shower taking so as to make the chamber smell nice again.

MessageMr. Speaker,

This is absurd and insulting, we are going to abstain, giving this bill the attention it deserves, which is to say none at all.

MessageMr. Speaker,

This is beyond absurd. We're not sure why this new party saw it fit to make things up about our party and use it to impose such a ridiculous mandate. We do know that this is being voted down by our party members on grounds that something as common sense as basic hygiene, which contrary to the People of Lodamun party's claims all of our party members practice well, should not be something mandated by national law. We are absolutely for encouraging the practice basic hygiene, but to make it a crime to not practice such is absolutely ludicrous.
