| Colleagues we would like modify the recent law on agricultural regulations with a provision about farm size. We fear large corporations to create too large farms damaging the more little producers and the ones which can't be considered as industrial agrifood producers. We fear also a damage for the genetic diversity of our crops too due to intensive practices often used by large agribusiness. Rosa Zulino |

| Message | Benito Baluchvani, OFF spokesman for trade and industry: Although, my party sympathize with your bill, the OFF will vote against it. We do believe in competition and the protection of small family businesses like small sized farms. The OFF is very much against any form of a monopoly. However, my party wonders how you want to implement this bill. It will be compex and probably costly too. Besides, we believe strongly that there should be legislation against monopolies and on behalf of my party, I will propose a bill to have that done shortly. Thank you! |
