From | | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | Members of the senate we will soon ban the animal experimentation for cosmetic purpose and it seems (from the debates) that abortion will be banned too. Therefore I ask the member of the senate to ban human cloning. We cannot play God. We cannot create human life just to experiment on it. We must not allow the creation of labs where humans are cloned for the sole purpose of providing the rich with the necessary organs. I ask you in the name of humanity if not God to step up and do something against this barbaric practice. |

From | Kundrati Revolutionary Movement | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | Why would scientists go through the trouble of cloning entire human beings to provide organs to the rich when they could just clone the organs directly? |

From | | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | How on earth would they clone organs directly? That's SF! |

From | Kundrati Revolutionary Movement | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | It's called theraputic cloning. In it, adult cell DNA would be taken and used to create a blastocyst for the purposes of gaining a line of a stem cells genetically identical to the original donor. These stem cells would then be stimulated to produce organs genetically identical to the donors but without all the wear and tear of years of use. The science behind this is almost ready now, and will certainly be working within the decade. |

From | | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | I will be frank, unlike the Rihannsu Party who says something like: ”I know that this is not what the bill says but vote it anyway” ,we here at the C.F.P. actually support what our bills say. The exact text is:” Proposed: The cloning of HUMAN BEINGS is illegal”. If science can clone organs in a decade without cloning the whole body(I’m referring here especially to the brain) then this bill cannot stop the scientists. And it is our opinion that it should not stop them to do so. |

From | Kundrati Revolutionary Movement | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | So what is wrong with reproductive cloning that does result in a new human being - other than the fact that it is unfeasible to do so currently with any assurance of it working properly? |

If you cannot see anything wrong then there is no point in debating this anymore. Let's just agree that we disagree. |

From | Kundrati Revolutionary Movement | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | Well, if they aren't being created in order to harvest organs for the rich, but are instead being used to help people with reproductive issues have children, what's the problem? A clone is just a genetic copy of a person. Every set of identical twins is due to cloning. It is a common and nutural occurance. The main difference between natural cloning and human induced cloning is the origin and technical pathway of the genetic material that gets cloned. As for the general idea of "playing god", how is human cloning "playing god" any more so than extending people's lives through surgery or even making glasses for people who god intended to have poor eye sight? |

From | | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | You cannot understand the concept of playing God! See people actually have a soul ! If you simply create people in laboratories (like animals) will you give them a soul? Will God? Will you condemn them to an afterlife of hell? Will they have an afterlife at all?
But leaving this aside,if you clone a human being , that is not just a clone it’s a HUMAN being and you cannot experiment on him/her, you cannot take organs from him/her, you cannot force them to do anything that they don’t want, they are our equals.
How can they help people that cannot reproduce ? If you cannot have a baby you will have yourself as a child? And if so can you guarantee that the new born child will have new cells? What I am trying to say is that he may be a baby but the cells might have the age of the person that was cloned. Will you want to steal those years of his life?
Also there is a very simple, natural answer for those who cannot reproduce and want a baby, it’s called adoption.

How is that an argument for making cloning illegal? Sounds more like an appeal for equal rights regardless of a person's manner of birth, which no one is opposed to. |

From | | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | We tried to bring as many arguments as i can but you keep ignoring them and it seems to us you are simply not willing to compromise. |

From | Union of Work-Shy Elements | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | I will support this bill but why must you insist that the human genetic code is "sacred" or "taboo"? It is a chemical process and nothing more. For that matter we are chemical processes and nothing more. If you deny yourself a useful tool simply because it reminds you uncomfortably of your mortality, you have uselessly and pointlessly crippled yourself. |

From | Union of Work-Shy Elements | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | "It sounds good but it's a bit sad that you have to resort to other people’s words to express what you think!" That sound slightly hypocritical coming from someone who relies on the bible to back up their perverted politics! Or did you write the bible? |

From | | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | Perverted? Sorry but that it's the second time you offend me. By the way relying on something to form a foundation of your policy is one thing but taking someone else’s speeches without giving proper credit is something else. It seems to me I touched a sensible cord there and that you simply cannot handle free speech and you have to result to offenses. That sad man, I pity you. |

From | | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | “Or did you write the bible?” Now you mock me? At least I was honest enough to admit that I rely on the bible and I didn’t use texts that were not my own just to make me look smart. Learn to respect other people, that is one of the fundamental principles of civilization. |

From | | To | Debating the Ban human cloning | Message | And what exactly is perverted about the C.F.P.’s politics? Your party voted the same as ours 11 of 17 possible times. So that makes you politics pretty perverted too.
Ooc: if you look closer you will see that it’s not a double post and that I tried to edit the first one so It will be easier for those that will read my post to comprehend the massage.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
