Message | We prefer the 'flat rate' income tax which is already in place. In principle we support reducing corporation tax, but would like to see public spending pruned a fraction first, just to make sure Aldegar's budget doesn't slip into the red too much. Percy Waterman (Personal Secretary to the Grand Duke of Hikirena) |
Date | 19:34:37, April 09, 2006 CET | From | Sunshine Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of October 2212 |
Message | In principle we would support a reduction in corporation tax but we would also like to see how and where the public's money will be saved and the deficit cut. |
Date | 20:29:38, April 09, 2006 CET | From | Republican Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of October 2212 |
Message | The corporate tax will be lowered to 1% after this is passed. OOC: This tax proposal eliminates the 'flat tax' that is not in any real world country, simply because it doesn't work. IC: This tax proposal also gives more money to the people who really do need it, so this proposal should be voted in favor if you want to help out the people in poverty. |
Date | 20:49:15, April 09, 2006 CET | From | Fenner Brockway Socialist Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of October 2212 |
Message | We don't support this but we also oppose the current system. We will bring forward our own proposals. |
