| Message | Mr. Speaker, This tax proposal will raise taxes on middle income earners, putting our progress in this field back 10 years and making sure that any incentive for the middle class to spend in the economy and grow is thrown out the window. Increasing taxes on the middle class is a guarentee for economic downturn. We are highly concerned about the series of reckless and unrealistic bills this administration is trying to pass now that they know they wont have a majority beyond this term. The PDLN and its coalition pushed for several bills that improved the life's of ordinary citizens but did not push its most ideological agenda. The Left Bloc and their coalition as pushing bills that are frankly out of touch with day to day Istalians and damaging to years of progress and growth. | Message | Mr. Cortez, What does your party understand by middle class? This taxation bill, in fact, reduce the pressure on low-earning members of our society (previous taxation did a 6% on people earning more than 1,000, while this one puts it in 1,200, as well as people under 8,000). People earning above 12,000 can't be classified, in any case, as "middle class", as if you do a quick fact check, there are only a few people over that amount. |
