MessageI would prefer that there be discussions about government formation rather than drawing up coalitions immediately after the election. Also, I think it would be better if the largest parties were the ones proposing their Cabinet proposals rather than smaller parties

MessageIn principle I agree unreservedly with the UBWP's comments.

The BRP proposed a coalition cabinet for one reason only - to signal to the parties concerned that they would have had its support.
In retrospect, this could and should have been done with a bill in the debate stage, so we apologise for putting it to the vote prematurely.
