MessageThere is no problem with this old Bill - apart from the fact that, in the opinion of the Alliance Party, it is unnecessary.

When nominating posts for our party members, we are all familiar with the nomenclature of Minsters for Foreign Affiars, Internal Affairs and so forth).

Why unnecessarily refer to the ministers of State holding these positions as "Secretary" instead?
And why unnecessarily call their departments "Departments" rather than Ministries?
And why unnecessarily rename all ministries to Foreign and Seleyan Affairs, Home Affairs, Finance and Economics, etc ?

The Alliance can see some purpose into documenting the notable government agencies, but these can be held in an informatory Bill rather than in a Bill classified as containing "Laws".

Finally, of what does the Mordusian Broadcasting Corporation consist?
Presumably both TV and Radio?
But what if the government of the day wishes to make all media private enterprises?
Would this be in breach of the "constitution"?
Or is this historical Bill purely stating what the name of the organisation would be if such a one be maintained?
Surely referring to the "National" broadcasting organisation would be a sufficient reference to know what is being spoken of?

And what are the Chronicles of Mordusia - a newspaper?
But we already have the "United Republic of Mordusia Daily" newspaper (much as the Alliance dislikes this name).
Incidentally, the Assembly could consider separately changing this newspaper name to "Mordusia Times" for example (hopefully not the Chronicles of Mordusia).

MessageOOC; Every nation in game has a (nation name) daily paper. I assume The chronicles in the RP paper that is used on the forum I believe, for people to write articles etc.

Mordusian Broadcasting Corporation I think is also on forum.

MessageThe government is minded to rescind the Bill of 4637 referred to herein before it reaches its 100th anniversary.

Earlier in the debate the Alliance posed questions to which it cannot find suitably convincing answers.

The government sees no need to complicate the nomenclature of our proceedings by changing names of departments and ministers from those used when each party nominates its representatives.

Furthermore, the Bill of 4637 refers to a further Bill (of 4636).
The government is happy to rescind that Bill too, as it contains four Articles all of which, subsequent to passing into law, have changed. This, in the opinion of the Alliance Party, makes that Bill redundant and therefore no longer adds the weight it once did to the Bill of 4637.

The government would consider superseding the Bill of 4637 with another containing the information relating to the "Notable Government Agencies" if this was felt to be necessary by this Assembly.
