Bill: Rent Regulation Bill 4737
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluzia Renewal Party (BRP)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4738
Description[?]:
The BRP does not believe that the national government needs to set a cap on housing rents. However, it does believe some compromise is possible by devolving this decision to individual States. This means that, where a party holds a majority in any one State then a cap can still be set as now. However, where a State is governed by a majority from a party such as the BRP (admittedly none at present, sadly) then other policies can be applied. This Bill avoids the coalition having to agree between themselves what replacement, if any, should be supported and prevents a lengthy debate over this Bill as to the various options which the BRP might consider. |
