Message | Unfortunately, these proposals inherently violate the values the SDP, especially regarding Article 2 and 5. The SDP believes that slavery in any form is detestable and violates the basic human rights as citizens of Terra. In regards to article 2, we believe that expression via clothing falls under an individual's freedom of expression. Although, we agree with the proposal in Article 1, but we do not believe it is enough to support this bill. |

Message | We believe due to one of the principles pf the justice system being retribution, slavery is an effective way to provide this for victims of the criminals committing severe crime. This would also act as a strong deterrent and thus has potential to reduce crime. In regard to article 2, we believe that in the comfort of ones own home such obscenities are allowed, however we do not believe it should be legal in public and that is what this bill would legislate against. |
