This bill does not prevent the carrying or the receiving of personal ID cards. It only changes the mandatory carrying of ID cards and

MessageThe Union Party understands that this is mean to be a compromise bill, but we'd be more inclined to support it if the cards were still mandatory, but no one was required to carry them. This way everyone is able to have a personal information record that gives them access to the various systems of government on an as needed basis. But we do agree the current system of requiring all to carry the cards is intolerable. Especially now that public nudity is legal, this leads to some odd occurances of card carrying.

MessageI think more of a compromise would be to give everyone cards but not to force people to carry them, i may support that but the bill at present is a bit too far.
