Message | Honourable Deputies, This does not punish the Augustan working class because we have given them a greater level of disposable income in the form of the abolition of income tax for anybody earning less than 20,000 ZAR annually. We are consequently adjusting the legislative policies of the nation to match this. |

Message | Imperial Senators, I feel as if the Partio de Venko failed to listen to our justification. It does not punish the working class because the living wage is no longer needed since they no longer pay income tax. As for the Article pertaining to social security contributions we are merely providing financial flexibility for the both employer and employee. By removing the government from industry we are providing the employer and employee the freedom to come up with amicable contractual solutions by themselves. This is not to say that we are abandoning the worker. New policy still makes it abundantly clear that the government expects companies to provide payroll contributions and rewards them for doing such. We hope that in reducing the scope within which Unions are able to strike they may actually focus on working towards these mutually beneficial contractual solutions regarding Social Security rather than unproductively wander around the streets. If anything we believe a consequence of this bill will be a refocusing of trade unions’ portfolios from a merely political one to one which actually seeks to protect the Augustan worker. We must make it abundantly clear we are not reducing the power a Union has in terms of its own workers’ pay, merely reducing its influence over other workers’ pay. This we believe to be right and proper. We hope this provides satisfactory explanation to the PdV in their quest to understand how this legislation in no way harms the brilliant workers we have in this nation.
