Bill: RP: Reactions to the passing of an historical reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 4754
Description[?]:
It's all over the news! The new reform legalising abortion up to 24(!) weeks, implementing health and safety regulations in industries, regulating private clinics and providing free contraceptives just passed! What made the difference was the abstention of the White Rose. The usually very conservative representatives of this party just abstained! Within the party, this decision raised criticism. "I don't understand why the White Rose would allow the communist fantasies. 24 weeks is obviously too extreme for an abortion! What on earth happened?! This is why I switched to the LCP" said Larry Greth, a former WR parliamentarian (OOC: you can change the comment if you want). Concerning the Communist Party, Dwayne Loops reacted: " This is really an historical reform! Thanks to the popular mobilisation and the worker's struggle, this law passed!" Jane Fritz, president of the National Women's right Association didn't hide her satisfaction:"Mentalities are changing, the political parties are changing and the struggle for our rights advances. We really want to thank the White Rose for this historical progress. I don't count the women I saw, crying because they couldn't get an abortion or because they couldn't afford contraceptives in this patriarcal society." |
