Bill: RP: Dissolution of the Communist Party
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4764
Description[?]:
Following the election, the CPL made its worst result in 111 years with only 9.22 % of the votes. The CPL leader Dwayne Loops gained 11.32 % of the votes and didn't qualify for the second round of the imperatorial election. The Dalton II Cabinet was also not re-elected. For this reason, the CPL board members wanted Loops to step down and at least leave his post. They also asked that the CPL abandons national-communism. Loops answered that he is president for life and that he is the only one to decide. After that, the board members of the CPL unanimously decided to dissolve the party. "We can't continue with a dictatorial leadership. This party deserved better than that and we're very sorry. But we have to take this decision." From now on, the CPL MP will sit as independents. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
