Message | BBP, how is this dictating??? I am letting free business. C's P, I disagree. Foriegn business probably has enough trouble getting here; why put them through the agony of adapting to regulations of 500 different places? Bsides, this bill states that foreigner may invest is national, so letting local governments decide would not make sense. |

Message | "foreign investors can be anyone(ill let you finish the rest of that argument yourself)" Not really. People decide if they like the company or not. A huge [yes, DLP, this does exist and it is a ligitamite statement here] example is the Dubais port deal with the US. You may not have herd, but a middle eastern business called Dubais tried to buy out 6 American ports. The people, NOT the government, saw a threat in this and forced Dubais to leave. As small as people seem, in large numbers they can pull off incredible tasks. |

Message | I still do not see how this is dictating. |

Message | We still believe in decentralization. Local governments can work with local companies to decide this matter. OOC: And in the case of the Dubia ports deal: the Dubai company bought an English company that was already supervising U.S. ports. They simply wanted to take over what the English company was already doing. And it was not the PEOPLE who closed this deal, it was the government. There were no non-violent protests or mass mobilization in this matter. The Dubai port deal was brought down by political pundits and TV talking heads. |

Message | I am very aware of the Dubais Dealings. and citizens party is 200% exactly correct, and i was going to explain the same thing. so that defensive on your behalf is inaccurate. again. Leave it to the local governments. |

Message | No, if you remember, President Bush was fine with the deal; the people were not. |
