Message | Mr. Speaker, I thank the National People's Party for bringing forward this proposal. The government can see definite administrative and practical advantages to setting up a specialised, streamlined system of dealing with legal cases related to environmental issues. My one suggestion is that the proposed tribunal be renamed from the "National Green Tribunal" to the "National Environmental Matters Tribunal" or something similar. The reason for this is that the term "Green" can be perceived to carry certain political or ideological connotations, and that would perhaps not quite set the correct tone for a judicial body. Message | OOC: It still says "National Green Tribunal" ;). Can you just confirm that's a typo and it's meant to be "National Environment Court" or whatever? Then I'll switch my vote in favour. |
