Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, Members of the Assembly, These five simple articles are our compromise to bring back legislation of health to a national level. We cannot continue allowing regional authority of the human right of staying healthy and most important, alive. I do know that some want advertising to be restricted with a strong message while others want a completely unregulated advertising. We believe that restrictions on advertising can be implemented with specific regulations (OOC: RP legislation) together with it later on. Concerning sports clubs, we know some wish complete state control while others want privatized sports clubs, so we bring a comprise on this with coexistence between the state and private sector. We are not sure yet what specific legislation to put forward on article 3, but we have chosen this one for now, just as a temporary measure to get rid of local authority on the matter. Article 2 is pretty self-explanatory and I think most of us can agree that this should be the policy. On article 1 however, I would like to point out that the current law on abortion is that it is only allowed in medical emergencies, which means that the government will with this article only provide funding for all abortions of medical emergencies. That is all. Thank you. Signed, Costante Buonocore Chairman of the Populists |
