Bill: RM Agenda No. 1
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluzia Communist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4779
Description[?]:
Radical Movement's agenda consist of various legislations that would push Beluzian society closer towards a more egalitarian and socialist society. It's clear to the movement that a sudden change would be inefficient, instead we propose a more gradual reform with a clear goal, which is a complete transformation of society, to avoid stagnation in progress. Agenda No. 1 is regarding the economy. 1. To pursue a more worker-supportive economic system, a democratic worker's council-based economy is required. The current government's attitude towards Worker's council is adequately supportive, but it's clear for us that the time is come to progress towards a more council-based economy by forwarding a more encouraging attitude from the government. 2. It's laughable that in 48th century Beluzia phone service is still not free. The free flow of communication is an important matter for a free and prosperous society, and we suggest it's time for the government to provide telephone lines free for usage by the populace. 3. Monopolies are defects of the unrestricted market. Absolute monopoly in any sector of economy would only kills healthy competition that is essential in the pursuit of prosperous and innovative economy. 4. It's time already for a guaranteed standard of living for the whole populace. We cannot afford any undeserving poverty no more. |

Message | Nothing with which the BRP would object to here!!! OOC: A party with no policies: is that sitting on the fence/hedging one's bets? Or is it crass indecision? Either way, they are well qualified to govern! |
Date | 11:00:04, July 03, 2020 CET | From | Beluzia Renewal Party (BRP) | To | Debating the RM Agenda No. 1 |
Message | The BRP apologises for the comments made earlier in the debate, At the time, the bill had been dormant for some time with no proposals in it! Now that four articles have been added, the BRP can no longer say that there is nothing in the bill to which it would object. We wouldn't necessarily dismiss all these proposals out of hand, but we certainly cannot support all of them, so we must vote no. |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
