Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 18:53:53, July 01, 2020 CET | From | Beluzia Renewal Party (BRP) | To | Debating the Workers Empowerment Act II |
Message | The BRP is of course in favour of employees being treated well and fairly. However, it also believes in allowing businesses to flourish in a free market. The better a company does, the more it can consider rewarding its employees. This is a choice which a company's board must make in balancing making profit for further investment and in retaining its workforce which it will do if it treats it staff better than its competitors. The BRP suggests that this freedom is better than enforcing regulations upon businesses which can hamper their development. In other words, the downside of this bill's proposals are not sufficiently balanced by the benefits. |
