Bill: Income tax proposal of May 4783
Details
Submitted by[?]: Movement of Ansel Debenham
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4784
Description[?]:
The Movement of Ansel Debenham propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the United Republic of Mordusia (Mordusia). We want a flat tax system. If we tax everyone by tax rate of 7 %, than we will gain more money out of taxes and we will liberate the people. As the tax system will be simplier to expand you business will be easier and our economy will boom. |

Message | Perhaps when the MAD party is in government it can experiment with the effect of such a proposal upon the country's economy. But it is doubtful whether either party in the current coalition would be prepared to countenance it. It is admittedly an interesting suggestion, but it means every single MRD earned by our citizens is taxed (albeit relatively lowly) and means the rich actually get richer (though of itself that is no bad thing either) |

Message | We see no difference between low-income taxpayers and high-income taxpayers, they should get the same service from the state and then pay the same share of their profit to the state. This would be the fair tax system, not the milion levels of taxations, where thousands and thousands of the people do not pay taxes at all. |
