Bill: Public Transport Responsibility Initiative
Details
Submitted by[?]: Sekowan Freedom Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2218
Description[?]:
We propose handing down matters of public transportation to the States. Systems that work in an urban district may not function or be feasible in a suburban or rural area. Also, residents of some areas may benefit from free transportation more so than those of another. Local governments could more easily decide what plans are best for their constituents. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Funding of public transport (where applicable).
Old value:: Public transport is fully user-pays.
Current: Public transport is fully subsidised by the government.
Proposed: Local governments decide upon the funding policy.
