Bill: Military Restructuring

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand Nationalist Fraction

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 4798

Description[?]:

Because of the budget, we can no longer have a professional army. Therefore we suggest the following:

The term that has to be served in the military would be for men and women, from 16 to 21, at their choice, for the period of 12 months. Those who prefer can enlist in the military reserve, which means they will only serve 2 months, but are willing to sign a 30-year contract for the national reserve.

MessageOOC: I was away and just missed this when it was up for a vote. GPP would've voted it down due to the national service article and will more than likely introduce legislation to repeal that part of this. I meant to say something against that part of it while I was on when it was still in debate, but got distracted and forgot to come back to it.
