Observing the recent law that was placed on the books, this bill seeks to clarify when identification is needed and when it is not. 1. Identification in the form of a mandatory issued card is only necessary to be on one's person in the following situations. A. When either national or local law requires the card to be with an individual when they operating heavy equipment, fire arms, or vehicles B. When entering, being present in, or leaving specific government buildings that have security requirements C. When passing through other secure area such as into an airport terminal D. When checking books out from the library E. When purchasing goods and services of a restricted nature and that require some form of identification F. When attempting to recieve government benefits in person as opposed to benefits of an automatic nature 2. One does not have to have their card identification present on their bodies at any other time. 3. Police or military officials or officers are not allowed to apprehend an individual for the sole reason of not having an identification card on their person. Nor may they use such a fact as a reason to declare that individual suspicious. |
