Bill: The New Farming Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Blobs
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2068
Description[?]:
This bill aims to return Hobrazian farms to the hands of its citizens and relieve the government of the burden of running them. The government will remain in control of staple crops, for example wheat production. The newly privatised farms will have to be under the control of the people who work on them. Those in charge of the running will have to be elected by their fellow workers and allow for the possibility of new elections at any time which would be monitored by an independant body to prevent result fixing. These representatives would have no special privelages except for the ability to spend some of their workings hours off the farm managing the business aspect of it. If you have any suggestions or want to point out a typo please post. Original version - http://aiglesrv.no-ip.info:8080/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=4806 |

Message | As usual, we will oppose steps towards establishing a free market. At least until an economy is implemented into the game engine. |
Date | 13:14:25, June 16, 2005 CET | From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the The New Farming Act |
Message | As last time, we will support this measure, at least until the economy is implemented so we can gauge the cost of operations. |
Date | 18:02:31, June 17, 2005 CET | From | Rural Democratic Party | To | Debating the The New Farming Act |
Message | This sounds fair enough, although the basis on which the representatives are to be elected is a cause for concern - small rustic communities being rife with low-level corruption of every kind. In principle though, we fully support government subsidy of low-income farming families. |

Message | "small rustic communities being rife with low-level corruption of every kind" - may you provide us with some evidence? |

Message | ITV's 'Heartbeat'? The comment was perhaps a bit much. Just concerned about rigging of votes by local elites, but as UB have seen to this and it's been passed, all would seem to be well. |
