In 4636, the Chamber of People's Deputies voted to abolish the previous judicial system and make the Prince-President the sole authority on matters of constitutional law, federal law, matters of mixed federal and provincial competence, and matters deemed important enough to be considered. The previous Supreme Court make-up was made in a purely advisory panel known as the "Princely Council". The Prince-President was also given authority to include additional councilors at any point to their choosing, temporarily or permanently. Local cases not deemed important enough are taken care of by local municipal councils. In January 4706, the Chamber voted to abolish the 4636 bill to effectively abolish the Prince-President's authority as the sole arbiter of justice as well as the Princely Council and reinstate the 3927 bill, restoring the Supreme Court to its former state before the 4636 bill. This bill also goes into length on ensuring the establishment of the courts is protected by law, enables any party to start proceedings on pressing charges against anyone that violates the articles of the bill, and laid out penalties of the defendant if said charges are successful. 3527: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=388913 3927: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=449480 4636: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=608814 4706: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=616895 -- CURRENT MEMBERS OF THE SUPREME COURT (As of February 4739) Representative of the Nation --------------------------- PNG President of the House of Representatives -------- PLUP The Minister of Justice ---------------------------------- PLUP The Leader of the Opposition -------------------------- PNG The Governor of Golavia -------------------------------- PLUP The Governor of Andalay ------------------------------- PLUP The Governor of Kregon--------------------------------- PLUP The Governor of Norstavan----------------------------- PLUP The Governor of Rapula--------------------------------- PLUP -- RELIGION Religion plays a large part in the culture of Lodamun. Many conflicts have been caused over religious differences, especially involving a statist atheistic religion known as Lodamese Nationalism. 3515: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=386761 3529: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=389248 3625: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=402289 3698: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=413104 3779: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=424875 3863: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=438609 In 4548, the Presidium repealed the previous state religion instilled by the previous regime and championed the concept of Freedom of Religion within the nation. It wasn't until March 4636 that this repeal was officially dismantled when the legislature voted to constitutionally protect Hosianism as the state religion, codify legal religions as well as punishments for blasphemy. In June 4677, the Chamber voted on a proposal to change the 4636 bill to remove the article that protected Hosianism as the state religion, as well as the unenforceable article that would've forced parties to choose a religion within 4 years of the act. In August 4702, the Chamber voted on a further amendment to the 4636 bill to reinstate Lodamese Nationalism as a legal religion within Lodamun. 4548: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=595604 4636: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=608821 4677: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=613706 4702: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=616431 4811: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=631544 4833: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=633768 A map of the religious demographics in Lodamun: https://imgur.com/WaHC1Dl -- MILITARY The Lodamese Military has underwent a great restructuring over the past couple of decades. The current make-up of the Lodamese Military has been outlined by the at-the-time Minister of Defence Marc Loons: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=599448 -- TRANSPORTATION As one of the cornerstones of the Dauxite Regime's environmental policies, the ownership of private cars in Lodamun was banned in April 4625 as part of the "Prince-Presidential All-Lodamese Biking Initiative". In July 4684, a privatization omnibus bill that included the re-legalization of private cars was passed. A ban on private cars was reinstated in December 4692. There was a period of time when private vehicles allowed again, though this only lasted a short time before they were banned again. There is currently legislation that is expected to pass that would lift the ban once again. 4625: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=607460 4684: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=614361 4692: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=614873 4726: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=618841 4729: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=619158 4733: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=619713 |
