Whereas currently the law of Alduria is such that only a small subset of nationals who pass an exam may be citizens, Whereas this allows for corruption and abuse by changing the exam to suit the needs of the government and not the common good, Whereas this allows for discrimination against the various ethnic minorities of Alduria, Whereas all nationals ought to have the right to citizenship given to them without question or charge, The New Imperial Consulate hereby declares: |

Current: Citizenship is granted based on race/religion/gender.

Message | I must emphasise that this bill is essential if we are to call ourselves a free country, and further that, to allay the worries of the other parties, this act does nothing to change our current nationality or immigration law: it simply extends citizenship to all nationals. Foreign residents who wish to be naturalised must still go through the regular process. |
