| Message | Although not represented within this honorable constituent, the RRR and its members wish to express themselves publicly on this proposal. We welcome the NPP's proposal which is very close to what we wanted. However, we have a few observations and proposals: - The term of office: 60 months (5 years) is a suitable and acceptable period. We were nevertheless thinking of 48 months (4 years) which allows public opinion, sometimes versatile, to be faithfully represented in "real time". But we remain open to the original proposal. - The number of conventionists per state: we would not be opposed to the establishment of a very light dose of proportionality which would slightly favor the most populous states. If this measure appears unequal, it actually makes it possible not to give a sparsely populated state as many conventionists as a very populous state. - 315 conventionists: we imagined a significantly higher number because of the number of inhabitants of the country. But again, we are not hostile to this proposal. - The name of the country: all your proposals are of great interest. A majority of our movement leans for the "United States of Rildanor" which reflects the federalism (several states), the uniqueness and the republican notion underlying it. But other members of our republican movement evoke other possibilities ("Trudeauist Federal State of Rildanor", "Federal Republic of Rildanor" ...) - The name of the legislature: We had not thought of this name. At first little follower of it, we begin to think that it has the merit of denoting by its originality. - The national animal: is it wise to imagine changing the national animal? The question is asked without our having a predefined answer. - The country's flag: This should be changed. The crown is no longer representative of the future constitution. The symbol of the uniqueness of the states that make up Rildanor should appear in some way. |
