The event:
After his parliamentary immunity was lifted, a team of 15 police officers raided the house of Mr. Coldman and brought him to the local police station where they interrogated him for 4 hours under the threat of torture. He was then placed in detention pending trial.
5 months later, he was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment by the justice system after a trial that lasted 2 months.
The Red Party of Luthori called this a "political persecution" and a "politically motivated trial".
This whole trial received few coverage in the newspapers or in social medias due to the Media Control Act passed under the Hurrington II Cabinet. And when there was coverage, it was mostly used to talk negatively about Mr. Coldman.
The Chancellor of Justice Megan Courthood (NM) rejoiced on social networks: "This horrible, despicable, mean person received what he deserved. Insulting our Imperator with those words, that's disgusting! This should be a lesson for all those who think they can insult their way to power, who think they can get away with such insults, that'll teach them! He is lucky not to be sentenced to lashes."

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI).

Random quote: "I am working for the time when unqualified blacks, browns, and women join the unqualified men in running our government." - Cissy Farenthold
