Bill: Sensible Senate Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Lodamun Humanist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2221
Description[?]:
"Currently, the number of seats here in our great Senate is two hundred and one. A niggling little 'one' with no real value, a 'one' which helps nobody and a 'one' that gives absolutely everyone grief when trying to work out fractions and percentages. As this building can clearly hold far more than two hundred and one people, we propose that the Senate of our five great nations be expanded to three hundred members, that the people can be better represented by a candidate of their own instead of that of a larger town nearby." |
Proposals
Article 1
