| Mr. Speaker, Our glorious country is under attack. Yesterday, many of our fellow citizens suffered death or grievous injury in a cowardly, despicable act of terrorism in the noble city of Pietersburg, while many others have likewise been afflicted in numerous locations across the country. The terrorist elements, aided and abetted by left-wing extremists and so-called "civil rights defenders, not contented with their previously covert schemes, have risen in our midst, seeking to slaughter our people and drive our nation into abject anarchy. Trusting in God's aid, and assured of the unanimous support of all honest men, the Government of Saridan shall not let these beast take a further step. We therefore present the following Bill to the House, seeking an immediate declaration of a State of Emergency, the banning of the terrorist organization going by the name "National League of Equal Rights" and any similar or associated groups, as well as fortification of the criminal code, the last of which to be presented in a a separate Act.
