Bill: Taxation of Religious Organisations Bill 4870
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluzia Renewal Party (BRP)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 4870
Description[?]:
The BRP proposes to abolish the taxation of religious organisations. Historically, taxation might have been important to prevent tax avoidance schemes by non-religious organisations posing as religions. This loophole is currently covered by our law which only allows "recognised" religions to operate in Beluzia. The government would therefore only exempt religions from taxation as this bill proposes if that religion is one of the recognised ones. |
